Well
the Bills season is finally over, and once again we won’t be seeing our team in the playoffs.
While
they clean out their lockers and get ready for the off season, The Bills Backers of Virginia Beach will be holding their off season
meetings once again,
With the first meeting being held in the Bills Rooms March 4th 2012 at 3:00 PM.
This is the time we take to evaluate what we need
for the next year and to review how the past year went and make any changes that need to be addressed,
such as what we had happen during the tailgate party for the New
England game.
First off, I want to apologize to everyone that was with us during the game for the incident that
transpired.
Without getting into the specifics,
I want everyone to understand that this was not what The Bills Backers of Virginia Beach have ever been about,
and this will be addressed at the next meeting.
The B.B. of V.B. has always tried to provide a family friendly atmosphere for all fans of the Buffalo
Bills,
and have never had any problems
like these in the 19 years we have existed.
We want everyone to have the chance to enjoy the game and have a good time with us,
and we will do whatever needs to be done to assure that everyone understands this and you
can still join us and enjoy your time with us.
We also have
to meet with the new owner of Smokies to assure he is supportive of our efforts, because we all are guests of his establishment,
and we have to abide by any directive
he gives us as far as how we operate.
Yes the room
is for us and is decked out with Bills memorabilia and the majority of what is in there belongs to us,
but in the end it is his property and his responsibility if anything happens in there.
I also wanted to let everyone begin making preparations
to attend this years Summer Picnic
we will hold at the Holiday Travel Park on General Booth Blvd. on July 14th from noon to 6:00 PM.
This is the start of our memberships for the next
seasons games and we provide most everything needed to have a good time with the family.
We are right next to a large outdoor pool so bring your swimsuits and towels and
have a nice relaxing day with The Bills Backers of Virginia Beach.
We hope to see everyone once again soon!
